August 22 & 23--This group was so fun! The sisters were missing two from their batch who left early but when they arrived they were so full of energy, fun, and personality. They had bonded in the MTC so that they were in tears as they left each other for their first areas. Saying good-bye to some of them was just as tearful as they left to return home. The elders were leaders in the mission and had plenty of personality themselves. As always we enjoyed visiting with them and sharing memorable experiences and tender testimonies. They definitely left an impact on the mission and will be missed.
August 24 & 25--We welcomed a new group of missionaries from the United States, Canada, Australia, and the Philippines. We got off to a rough start as three of them got motion sickness on the bus ride from Manila and didn't get feeling better the whole day. Fortunately by the time they met their companions the next morning they were feeling better and ready to go. We enjoyed the time with them and look forward to getting to know them all better.
